Gohan (孫悟飯) is the elder son of the series' primary protagonist Go ku and his wife Chi-Chi, the older brother of Goten. He is the first hybrid (half-Earthling, half-Saiyan) to appear in the series.

Super Saiyan 2 (超スーパーサイヤ人２), initially referred to as Super Saiyan Fifth Grade at the time of it's debut, is the direct successor to the first Super Saiyan transformation. It is very similar to the original form in appearance and attainment; however, the pow er output is far greater, as speed, strength, and en ergy output all drastically increase.
